Superb Italian mid century rosewood writing desk, Model 530, designed by architect and renowned furniture designer Gianfranco Frattini ( 1926-2004) and produced by Bernini from 1957. The top writing section has two side drawers to the front, with key, and a central document shelf. On the top back sits a further section containing two tambour doors which when opened reveal three further drawers and several pigeonholes. There are two further document shelves which can be accessed from the rear. One of the drawers still contains the original Bernini label and is stamped and dated 1964.
