A very refined pair French, late Art Nouveau, walnut armchairs beautifully executed and upholstered in a plush dark sage green velvet which is enhanced with antiqued brass studs. The front octagonal legs are each finished with a beautifully carved spray of flowers and again repeated on the centre of the back rest. : the gently curved backrest provides perfect comfort.

This pair of chairs were probably produced in c1916 during the transition period between Art Nouveau (1880s-19140) and Art Deco (c1919-1939).
